Refund & Returns Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Before you buy
Purchases are completed through Amazon, Payhip or Etsy, rather than on this website. For purchases from the Jack Cator Books Payhip store, Jack Cator Books is the seller and Payhip provides the sales platform. Return windows, refund eligibility and delivery arrangements depend on the seller, product format and applicable law. Check the product listing and checkout terms before paying.
This page explains how to request help. It does not offer a separate money-back guarantee or promise that every purchase is refundable. Your rights under applicable consumer law are not affected. Consumer protections can depend on where you live and the circumstances of your purchase. The UK-specific information below applies where UK consumer law governs your purchase; it does not mean the same rules apply to every international order.
Amazon purchases
Open the order in the Amazon account used to buy the book, ebook or audiobook and use the available return or support options. If an option is not shown, contact Amazon customer service. The relevant retailer or seller handles eligibility under the purchase terms and applicable consumer law.
Use the Amazon site or app where you placed the order. Jack Cator Books cannot access your Amazon account or issue a refund through Amazon on your behalf.
Payhip purchases
For a purchase from the Jack Cator Books Payhip store, contact Jack Cator Books through our Contact page or the contact options in your receipt. Include the order reference, product title and a description of the issue.
Jack Cator Books is responsible for reviewing your request and providing any remedy required of us as the seller. Payhip provides the platform; it is not a substitute for the seller’s responsibilities. Purchase terms do not override your statutory rights.
Digital downloads and your rights
A change-of-mind request is different from a report that a download is faulty, incomplete or not as described. Downloading a file does not, by itself, remove your rights if the digital content fails to meet applicable legal standards.
Changing your mind
Where UK consumer law applies, digital-content purchases generally have a 14-day cancellation period. If you give prior express consent to supply during that period and acknowledge that you will lose your cancellation right, that right is lost when supply begins.
The seller must also provide the required confirmation of your consent and acknowledgement in a form you can keep, such as an email. This is a separate requirement. Where a contract is cancelled under the statutory cancellation rules, you bear no cost for digital content supplied during the cancellation period if the required prior consent, acknowledgement or confirmation was missing. A statement on this page alone does not replace the checkout and confirmation requirements.
Faulty, incomplete or misdescribed files
If a download is faulty, incomplete or not as described, contact the seller even if you agreed to immediate supply. Where UK consumer law applies, you may be entitled to repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction that can be up to the full price. These rights are separate from change-of-mind cancellation rights.
For Jack Cator Books Payhip purchases, contact us about your download so we can assess the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
Etsy purchases
Sign in to the Etsy account used for the order, open Purchases and reviews, and choose Help with order to message the shop. For a guest purchase, start with your receipt email.
Review the listing and shop policies for your item. Digital downloads and physical products can have different return conditions. If the issue remains unresolved, follow the help options available through Etsy for your order.
Damaged, incorrect or missing items
Contact the retailer or seller promptly if your item arrives damaged, is the wrong item, or has not arrived as expected. Keep your receipt and any useful photographs or delivery information. Follow the retailer’s instructions before sending a physical item back.
For a download that will not open or appears incomplete, tell the seller which file is affected, the device or app you are using, and any error message. Do not send passwords or payment card details.
What to include in a request
- The retailer and order reference.
- The book or workbook title and format.
- The date of purchase.
- A short explanation of what went wrong and the help you need.
Share order details privately with the retailer or through our Contact page, rather than in a public review.
Refund timing and further help
Where a refund is due, the relevant seller or retailer will confirm the amount, payment method and expected processing time, subject to applicable legal deadlines and payment processing. For Jack Cator Books Payhip sales, we will provide that confirmation. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the refund in your account.
Unsure where to start? Contact Jack Cator Books with the retailer name and product title so we can help you find the appropriate next step.
